About the Course
Overview
Our advanced Pencil to Podium course takes participants from the inception of an idea through the speech-writing process to speech delivery. Participants obtain vital tools to improve their proficiency as writers and speakers. This course is structured as a focused small-group training, which provides numerous opportunities to speak and be evaluated.
Attendees participate in varied speaking exercises, including the writing and delivery of two longer-format speeches (20 minutes and 10 minutes). Instructors and classmates will provide immediate feedback after each speech. At the end of the class, everyone will receive a recording of his/her speeches along with feedback.
