Today’s workforce is more diverse than ever before, and while diversity offers numerous advantages, many organizations are at a loss when it comes to making their employees feel valued. To help organizations quantify their progress in diversity leadership and management, the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) introduced the “New IQ” or inclusion quotient in 2014. The survey is the most modern measure of inclusive intelligence and organizational success. In this course, you will explore the foundations of the New IQ and devise an action plan for incorporating and maintaining the five habits of inclusive leadership.
With an increasingly challenging and diverse workforce, many organizations struggle to provide their employees with a true sense of belonging or to make them feel genuinely valued. In order to realize the full potential of their employees, organizations must learn how to properly measure and improve an inherently intangible aspect of group interactions.
To address these issues, the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) introduced the “New IQ” or inclusion quotient, which is the measurement of inclusive intelligence — the intentional, deliberate, and proactive acts that increase work group intelligence by making people feel they belong and are valued. Devised in 2014, the New IQ test is the most modern measure of organizational success and was designed for organizations to quantify their progress in diversity leadership and management.
