About the Course

Overview

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, people endured numerous work and life challenges that left quite a mark on their collective psyche. Further complicating matters are the new realities that have emerged, which will not dissipate on their own and demand a focused intervention.

This course provides an effective entry point to get issues out in the open — allowing participants to share their respective experiences, develop an understanding of their individual struggles, and learn ways in which challenges may linger if not confronted and resolved. During this process, participants are given the opportunity to work through personal and workplace issues so that they may return to some semblance of normalcy and greater productivity.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to

  • Identify the personal challenges that the pandemic caused
  • Recognize the differences in how people experienced the pandemic
  • Identify and accept the feelings and concerns that others have or had about returning to work
  • Describe the basic principles of emotional intelligence
  • Use emotional intelligence principles to help people return to the workplace well
  • Specify the current COVID-19 restrictions at work
